Correspondence:

An email from the President of ATVANS stating they had a meeting with Dept. of Transportation concerning OHV trails , that ATVers would like to have access to, that are accessible from crossing the 100 highway series .
First time ever the Dept of Transportation has sat down to discuss this issue. Hopefully a door has been opened for further discussion.

ATVANS is pushing for a Trail Warden program being in operation in this area. Tabled for next meeting. We need 2 for the Clare area and 2 for the Yarmouth and county area.
An email from Lloyd Wallis was read concerning the use of Water Street for ATV’S to gain access to the North and South Ends of the trail. As of yet it is not legal. Still trying to work out this issue.

New Business:

Mapping should be done as soon as possible. When Clare and Yarmouth Co. areas are finished then we can meet with the Digby club as they have their maps finished. We then should have maps available for this end of the province showing all usable ATV trails.

50/50 draw was won by Carol Saulnier in the amount of $ 65.00

It was proposed by Paul McCauley and seconded by Carol Saulnier that the meeting be adjourned. Next meeting to be held March 14th.

This insurance requirement will be strictly enforced by the special officers which have been appointed to police these new laws. Don't take chances without the insurance, the amount of the fine, if caught, will more than pay for insurance.
